Overview

Established in 2009 by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India by IIM Act 2017, IIM Rohtak is an Institute of national importance. It continues to strive for excellence in research, teaching, public policy and executive education. Ranked among the top five IIMs for research, IIM Rohtak was ranked 21 by NIRF in Management category in 2020. It was also ranked 11 in Outlook-ICARE India MBA ranking 2020. IIM Rohtak provides a variety of courses in the Management stream, including UG, research and executive.

IIM Rohtak Admission Process

The college has extensively changed its PGP (flagship) course 2020 admission process and eligibility criteria. From 2020 onwards, the college is not participating in Common Admission Process (CAP) round and will conduct its own Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). The student registering for PI-WAT process will have to pay Rs 2,000 for registration. IIM Rohtak offers a total of seven programmes at PG and PhD levels.

Check out the eligibility criteria required to be fulfilled by candidates before applying to the course:

  • Admission to PGP programme is done on the basis of performance in WAT & PI round, academics, work experience and diversity
  • FPM admission will take place based on valid CAT GMATGRE and GATE scores
  • Admission to IPM programme is done on the basis IPM Aptitude Test score conducted by the institute followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
  • For EPGPEx admission, candidates must have a valid CATGMAT /GRE score

IIM Rohtak Courses

IIM Rohtak offers seven courses, an Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, Executive Post Graduate Program for Executives (EPGPX), Doctoral Programme (DPM), Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management (EPGDSM), Management Development Programme (MDP) and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)IPM programme is one of its kind that is designed for students as soon they complete their high school. The main objective of this course is to make student best manager by teaching them various subjects along with practical knowledge in a span of five years. IIM Rohtak Placements

IIM Rohtak witnessed 100 per cent placement record by placing all its 236 students for the batch of 2018-20. IIM Rohtak has one of the largest PGP batch among second and third generation IIMs therefore, it’s quite an achievement for the institute to have successfully placed the entire batch of 2020. During 2018-20 batch, IIM also witnessed an increase in the participation of new companies. Bain Capability Network, Lenskart, RBS, Michael Page, and Infosys Management Consulting are few among the 40 new recruiters. Some of the old recruiters were ICICI Bank, Indus Valley Partners, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Capgemini, and Cognizant, among others. Talking about the packages offered by IIM Rohtak, the highest domestic CTC stood at Rs 24.13 LPA, while the average package was Rs 13.7 LPA. The institute also witnessed a good number of Pre Placement offers (PPO) this year. Talking about IIM Rohtak’s summer placement, the recruitment drive saw participation of 80 plus recruiters with 37 new recruiters this year. The highest stipend stood at Rs 2.5 lakh while the average stipend was Rs 65,557.

IIM Rohtak Scholarship

 IIM Rohtak offers a variety of scholarships to deserving candidates. The scholarship programme of the institute has been categorized into three: DPM scholarship, Financial Support for Conferences and Contingency grant.

  1. DPM Scholarship:

The participants of the DPM programme will be given a Fellowship as mentioned below:

  • Rs 30,000 for the first two years and
  • Rs 35,000 after passing the second year

In addition to this, a merit Fellowship (subject to satisfactory performance) of Rs 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants. 

  1. Contingency Grant:

All the participants will receive a contingency grant of Rs 1.85 lakh distributed across four years of the programme.

  1. Financial Support for Conferences:

The participants will be provided potential financial support for attending national and international conferences as well as for academic exchange visits to partner institutions as per the institute norms.

IIM Rohtak Annual Fest

Infusion

Infusion is the annual management, social, cultural and sports festival of the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak. It is a three-day ling event held in January every year. Infusion has witnessed a footfall of students over 50 colleges across the country. With 8 editions completed successfully, Infusion is among the largest B-school festivals in North India. The event will be held in the third week of January, aiming to create a new wave of inspiring energy with never seen before events, leveraging the digital mode of the event.
